Dubai’s busiest metro stop is getting a game-changing upgrade!
DUBAI – Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station is set for a major expansion, increasing its capacity by 65% to handle up to 220,000 passengers daily. The project will enlarge concourses and platforms, add new escalators and lifts, separate entry and exit gates, and enhance pedestrian access with upgraded bridges and entrances.
The expansion is designed to make commuting smoother during peak hours, New Year’s Eve, national holidays, and major events. Commercial areas within the station will also grow, providing more amenities for passengers, while landscaping and public transport integration will improve the surrounding urban environment.
This initiative, delivered through a public-private partnership between RTA and Emaar, reinforces Dubai’s commitment to world-class infrastructure and urban mobility, ensuring the city remains ready for millions of visitors and residents alike.
